SUMMARY:Week 3: Online Safety\, Hosted by Women Support Network
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Women Support Network. \nThe aim of this workshop is to equip youth with knowledge and skills to navigate online platforms in safer and more responsible ways. We will explore common risks associated with browsing the internet\, online gaming\, and using social media platforms\, such as phishing\, doxxing\, and privacy concerns. There will be a focus on online forms of sexual exploitation\, including luring and grooming for the purpose of human trafficking and sextortion. The significance of one’s digital footprint and online presence will be discussed\, as well as the importance of being responsible digital citizens. Prevention measures and strategies for reporting abuse\, seeking help\, and reducing risk will also be provided. \nTransportation and childminding available. \nTo register\, text or call Angela – 905-716-3956.
